Feeding Directions

Pace-Maker Pellet is designed for active horses, idle horses, broodmares, and growing horses older than two years of age. It can be fed to yearlings if fed with hay that is at least 12% crude protein. Due to the role of maternal nutrition in ensuring optimal fetal development, a fully fortified feed such as Pace-Maker Pellet is critical in managing the broodmare in all aspects of her production cycle. Feed at a rate of 0.4 to 1.0 % of body weight to meet the caloric requirements of the horse. Feed with a minimum of 1.25 % of body weight in forage (hay or pasture equivalent) per day.
